The Little Giant and the Tall Dwarf

Gigante Enano
In Gigantoland, the giants and giantesses are excited to see the birth of a new child, but they are disappointed to see that the new child is a tiny giant.
At the same time, a new child is also born in Dwarfland, and it is also a source of disappointment for the dwarfs of the country. A huge dwarf has been born.

Both of them are subjected to different tests and trials to make them either grow or to prevent them from growing any taller. As these endeavours do not work, they are eventually expelled from their respective countries.

After four days of wandering through the forest that separates Gigantoland and Dwarfland, little Giant and the tall dwarf meet and discover that they are the same height.

“There are several readings that can be extracted from the book: it tells us about pure friendship, without distinctions or prejudices between the two protagonists, about the rejection of the strange and strange that occurs and is difficult to escape from, about the joy of a new birth and about the family’.”  – Ysabel M., Anika entre libros

“An intelligent fable with a hidden social critique that invites us to break with stereotypes and prejudices, converted into images of extraordinary charisma by the Barcelona artist Roger Olmos.” – Canal lector

“A tale that evokes the classics, ideal for dealing with the fear of what is different, acceptance, the meaninglessness of prejudice, empathy and living together in harmony. A large-format book, carefully edited, with typographic and vocalisation games, which will delight both boys and girls”-  Lupa del Cuento

“A story that tells us about perspectives, about rejection, about the need we all have to feel we belong to a place (sometimes, for example, because of our physical characteristics) and about how it is possible to meet. A book about friendship and the acceptance of difference, about being ‘strange’ depending on how you look at it. About looking, that’s all.” –  Carmen Mateo
