Marie Doerfler (*1993 in Regensburg) is a freelance illustrator and graphic designer. She studied communication and graphic design at the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, Falmouth University and then illustration at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. She currently lives and works in Regensburg and Vienna.
Her illustrations are inspired by nature, the everyday and are created in a dialogue of digital and analogue techniques. In her work, she explores the connection between graphic structure and living line. With her work she wants to cause a pause, perception and reflection – with ourselves and what surrounds us.
She works for companies, magazines and publishers and was awarded the World Illustration Award in the Advertising Young Talent category last year. In addition to numerous international exhibitions, she was included in the finalist shortlist of the Children’s Book Fair in Bologna.
