Fran Pintadera was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in 1982. He studied Social Education and Psycho-pedagogy. He is an oral storyteller, he tells stories as well as writes them, sometimes in that order, sometimes the other way around, and he is also a director of social theater.
As a writer he has obtained different acknowledgements such as the XI Compostela International Illustrated Album Award or the 2018 National Award of the Spanish Ministry of Culture, and he has been a finalist of the Cuatrogatos Foundation Award. In Takatuka we have also edited Marte, un elefante de otro planeta (Marte, an elephant from another planet) and Una montaña cualquiera (Any old mountain).
