Verena Hochleitner was born in Vienna in 1969 and studied Graphic Design at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Gitte Spee was born in Indonesia in 1950. When she was eleven years old, she moved to the Netherlands with her family. She studied illustration in Amsterdam. Since then she has illustrated numerous books for international publishers, in Germany she is particularly known for the pictures for Dagmar Chidolue’s Millie books.
