Birgit Schössow is from Hamburg and studied Illustration at the Fachschochschule für Gestaltung in Hamburg. She now lives on the Baltic Sea and illustrates, designs, writes texts, makes animations and also the music for children and adults. Some of her covers for “The New Yorker” have been published in the “Society of illustrators”, New York and in “American Illustration”. Burying Grandma is her first children’s novel.
