Andrea Offermann, born in Cologne in 1980, studied illustration, animation design and printing technology in Los Angeles, Hamburg and Florence. Since then she has been working as a freelance illustrator, mainly for children’s and youth book publishers. Her work has won several awards, including the Youth Jury Prize of the Austrian Youth Book Prize and the Portfolio Grand Prize of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. She lives with her family in Hamburg.
