Friederike Dammermann, born in Braunschweig in 1972, studied Art and German in Hamburg and Bremen with stays abroad in New York, Paris and Nimes. Besides her job as a teacher in Flensburg, she writes and illustrates children’s books. “An Elephant in Our Town” won the silver medal of the Key Colours Award 2020 in Belgium. The illustrator’s works are exhibited in many places.
